I had an absolutely amazing time at Muriwai Beach Horse Riding! A special thank you to Sienna, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming - she really made the whole experience feel extra comfortable and enjoyable. I also had the pleasure of riding Panda, the sweetest and most reliable horse. I instantly felt a connection and now I can’t stop wishing for the day I get to run with him along the beach! Finally found an incredible horse trek! I booked the Muriwai beach & forest 3-hour intermediate private ride and it was EVERYTHING! A huge thanks to my fantastic guide, Tancy! She really listened to my experience level and made sure the trek was perfect for me. We went at a variety of paces, cantering and trotting at appropriate times. It wasn't just a leisurely walk, but a chance to experience different riding styles allowing me to grow as a rider. See you again next month!

I got the pleasure of riding Panda during my trip to New Zealand and it was the highlight of my trip. I wish I could remember the name of my guide but everyone there was friendly and helpful. Also very respectful of mine and my cousins level of confidence and experience. Appropriately matched each horse with each person depending on skill level and made everyone feel comfortable and safe.
Horses seemed very loved, happy, relaxed, confident and on a great work schedule!

I would rate this as my best experience ever in a trail ride. I was Intermediate level as it was my first visit.
Intermediate was as advertised with a lot of variety, trots, canters. This was perfect to build my confidence back up to Advanced. (gallop). The guides took some consensual videos on their phones and shared for free. How they do this whilst cantering in front lead is a testament to the trust they have in their mounts and themselves.

Everything about it was absolutely amazing. I went for a one hour trail today and it was probably one of the best experiences on horseback I’ve had so far!
The horses were so charismatic and fun, yet they took great care of you and were very safe. The instructors were friendly and humorous, and often checked up on all riders to ensure safety.
Scenery was beautiful, lovely forest and beach views!
